* Example alert

iPhone & iPad

Apple only sends website alerts to apps on your Home Screen, so add OSV Count there first. It takes about a minute.

  1. Open osvcount.com in Safari Other browsers on iPhone can't add it to the Home Screen.
  2. Tap the icon to the left of the address This opens Safari's page menu.
  3. Tap Share It's in the page menu.
  4. Tap View More This reveals the Add to Home Screen option.
  5. Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add
  6. Open OSV Count from your Home Screen Use the new icon, not Safari. Alerts only work there.
  7. Tap “Alert me when the OSV opens or closes” It's under the OSV status box. Then tap Allow.

Android

  1. Open osvcount.com in Chrome
  2. Tap “Alert me when the OSV opens or closes” It's under the OSV status box. Then tap Allow.

Tip: install OSV Count as an app from Chrome's ⋮ menu › Add to Home screen.

Computer

  1. Open osvcount.com In Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
  2. Click “Alert me when the OSV opens or closes” It's under the OSV status box. Then click Allow.

Mac: to see alerts as banners instead of only in Notification Center, open System Settings › Notifications, choose your browser (or OSV Count, if you installed it) and pick Banners.

  • Open OSV Count and check that it says Closure alerts are on. If it doesn't, turn alerts on again.
  • Check that Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode isn't hiding them.
  • On iPhone, alerts belong to the Home Screen app. Deleting the app stops them; if you add it again, turn alerts back on.

On the OSV status box, select Turn off next to “Closure alerts are on”.
